Colage stands for Children of Lesbians and Gays Everywhere. It is the longest running nation-wide non-profit organization organized and directed by people who have one or more LGBTQIA+ parents or caregivers. Colage offers community education, support and advocacy for youth with one or more lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender/non-binary parents or guardians. Local chapters, email lists, penpal programs, publications, teaching tools & family conferences are available.
Colage's mission is to bring together, support, affirm, and empower children of LGBTQIA+ parents to lead and share their lived experiences within the communities they reside.
Whereas PFLAG is more geared to support the people in an LGBTQIA+ person's life (inclusive of youth), Colage is set up for the children of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and trangender/non-binary caregivers.
