LSP provides health and wellness services to lesbians, bisexual women, and transgender people in the Washington, DC metro area. All of our services are available on a sliding-fee scale.

Whether you are looking for a welcoming place to get your annual exam, need support due to chronic illness, seeking a support group which will fit your life, or thinking about becoming a parent, LSP can help.

The Lesbian Health and Counseling Center began at Whitman-Walker Clinic in 1979 as a volunteer organization. In 1990 the Lesbian Services Program became a funded part of Whitman-Walker Clinic, and the first full-time director was hired. Since then, the program has grown to include additional staff members and more than 100 volunteers.

LSP is dedicated to serving lesbians, bisexual women and transgender people in the Washington metropolitan area. We provide care across the spectrum of age, gender, sexuality, race and ethnic identity.
